I have a new issue whereby every time i open Bluebeam, it creates me an additional "My Tools" chest….i now have 16 Tool chests named "My Tools"!?! They also cant be deleted so they are growing. Anyone have any ideas?
Probably you stored the profile in a different folder than the default Bluebeam is using (appdata/roaming). If you move your profile there and relink to that folder from the profile settings, these duplicates will be removed and everything works as normal. Hopefully this issue will be patched out soon.
Yes, this has something to do with the storage location if it is anywhere other than the default. Mine are stored in Dropbox so I'm encountering this. I've been in contact with Bluebeam Technical Support and they are looking into this issue. No fixes yet though!
Same here. Do you have any solution to this?
Although Bluebeam are working on this, there isn't an estimated date for when there will be a fix. Their suggestion is to save the Toolsets in Dropbox (or whatever you are using) but to keep the profiles in the default folder.
This isn't happening to mine, but I also have mine marked as "read-only" so it can't be accidentally updated.
So mine is saved on OneDrive (both my profile and tool chests), but on all of them I've right-clicked on the file —> Properties —> check the box next to Read-Only.
If you guys have your profile stored on Dropbox, OneDrive, or something similar, perhaps you can restore to an earlier version that isn't experiencing this, and then lock the file as read-only?
Thanks Liz. My problem is that I'm constantly updating so don't think I can save as read only. What I have been told to try is saving the Profile to the default location but the Toolboxes to Dropbox - not tried this yet though.
Hi. I've been having the same issue. Our profiles were saved to a drive on our network, not the default on our PC local drives. I've just re-routed everything back to the default folder on my PC and it's partially fixed the issue. When I open the profile now there are no extra duplicates created, but the ones that had already sneaked into the profile I'm currently using are still there, but at least now they remain unchecked so don't keep showing up as open tool sets. BTW, I've reverted back to 21.5 for now. I've not heard anything from Bluebeam to say they've fixed 21.6. In fact, I've heard nothing from Bluebeam despite numerous attempts to get some answers.
They have not fixed this specific issue, but they are aware of it and have been able to recreate the problem.
What do you mean by "constantly"?
If it's once a week or less, I think marking it as read-only would be doable. You just uncheck the read-only box, then Save Profile, then check the box again. It's not too bad.
But if it's multiple times each day, that may be an issue. But, at the same time, if it's that frequent I'd wonder why and if there's something you can do to minimize needing to update it so often.
It depends on which profile I'm using.
Some such as that for measuring retaining walls basically never get changed. However, those such as the one for measuring brickwork are changed for things like where I change the weight of custom line styles to suit the scale of the drawing being measured. I'm back to using the defaul location at te moment and will move everything again once a fix is found.
Just attended my first Tips & Tricks webinar earlier this week. It was great! Today I received an email from Stephanie with a link to watch an on-demand video. Unfortunately, I'm not able to visit the site (I receive an error message - see below)
Is there a tool which can apply a template to an existing PDF document? I can do it with the overlay tool, but its not efficient. I am currently specifically attempting to apply a letterhead to a PDF document without having to using snapshot, etc.
We were messing with settings now all the tools in my tool box are numbered and now I can't find the setting to get rid of the numbers next to the tools.
Long post for context: Yesterday I was trying to compare a revised architectural to realize that the floor plan has shifted in both the X and Y, so this morning I did a page snapshot. What I would like to know is, is there a way to snap to a point on the snapshot and move it to a point on the drawing?
In our work, we frequently need to compare floor plan drawings. Often, we have to compare older drawings from archives with very new and detailed ones. The scales of these drawings often differ — sometimes from 1:100 to 1:200, but more commonly with small variations of 1–5% at a detailed level. Our current workflow is as…
I found this support article, but I don't see the options shown in the screenshot to send to Cloud. At the bottom of the tool set menu I only see Manage Tool Sets, there's no Send Tool Sets to Bluebeam Cloud.
Hi I'm new here, joined to ask this questions. I started having an issue this week, where when I select the typewriter tool or text box nothing happens, pretty much rendering useless a big part of bluebeam for me. driving me nuts. Tried the basics, or re-opening, different files, restarting, different profiles, etc.…
I'm trying to figure out how "sets" works in Bluebeam to mark out the old documents and showing me the new changes in the addendums. when I create a set in Bluebeam and run it, they seem to be the same, but I can clearly see changes in design or whatever they are changing in the new addendums.
As an Org Admin user I have the ability to add users and delete users and assign the product, but is there a way to edit an existing user Contact Details? When I attempt to update a user's Contact Details everything is greyed out and will not let me make any changes.
I have added our org SharePoint to Bluebeam Cloud (website) and I can see folders as I would expect. When I add my org OneDrive account to Bluebeam Cloud I see OneDrive and PersonalCacheLibrary folders show, if I click on OneDrive, it says "Something went wrong. Please try again." Never works, and I opened a ticket and…
