How can i take-off materials quicker using blue beam. I normally see autocad PDF's. Ive tried exporting the comments but i would need to build a formula. Very time consuming.
Building toolsets in Bluebeam can be a tedious process but is very powerful with custom columns. What industry are you in? I'm in structural steel and we've built out some pretty powerful tools and workflows.
Depends on the Takeoff markup you are using, what Materials are you taking off?
Creating a Tool Set for Each item that needs counting.
Using Ctrl + Shift to Copy and Paste Helps, also Copy Multiple Helps.
Another option is Grouping Objects if Taking off Multiple different Material Types.
After Takeoff is Complete, using a CSV File Export to Excel and consolidate data…
I'm trying to find a quicker way to consolidate the BOM on a isometric drawing that list bolts, gaskets, and etc. I did build take-offs with custom columns. I tried to use excel to extract the data from a OCR PDF Sheet but it will take a lot of time to try to edit and produce formula
I'm in industrial. So, I see a lot of piping iso's, steel and civil drawings. I start building the custom columns and it's working better. My other question will be.
How much data I put in for specs on custom columns can it handle
Generally Speaking, the more you use Bluebeam the quicker and more efficient you'll naturally become at using it however a great place to start is understanding the toolbox functions. I'm in Roofing & Cladding and we have a number of different toolboxes for the various roofing & cladding build-ups we offer as a business. Understanding the full use of the take-off functions is also very beneficial.
I need step by step instructions on how to both change the text size in a dimension stream (I have already calibrated the sheet size) In one of my sheets the text size is huge. And in another project the text is not showing at all. I need actual dimensions, I don't want to override what it is.
Recently my team has been encountering instances where Bluebeam seems to be adding multiple statuses, seemingly on it's own, to markups. It does it to multiple markups at a time too and takes a lot of real estate on the markup list. We're still actively working on identifying potential causes for this, as I personally have…

With no intentional change of software I have run into a situation that causes Revu v21.7 to be unusable for modifying PDF files. It only functions as a viewer. V21.7 has been working without issue until now. Multiple problems occur: All markup tools are grayed out and non-functional. The BB logo and the text "Sign In"…

My computer failed and I lost all the programs, including BB. How do I install BB on a new computer w/o buying a new program? I kept all the BB program data but there's no install. I'm using an old version that's no longer supported so support won't help.
One of my colleagues left the company and left a bluebeam session she created open. Is there a way to close a session without the session owner? Or am I doomed to have an old session in my Studio forever?
Typically I have no issues using keyboard shortcuts in a PDF. But too often I find myself unable to invoke any commands via keyboard shortcuts in a PDF; I have to resort to using menus and toolbars to invoke the commands instead. What is going on here? Is there some kind of a lock of these PDF's?
