Ctrl-E Keyboard Shortcut

Currently the "Ctrl-E" shortcut opens an email window with the active .pdf attached and the subject line matches the filename of the .pdf. This is my most used BlueBeam shortcut. Problem is Microsoft is pushing "New Outlook" on users and I'm begrudgingly becoming used to it (it's actually great for a lot of things BTW).

So, even though I'm using the "New Outlook", the "Ctrl-E" shortcut in BlueBeam is opening the email window in the "Old Outlook".

When can we expect this shortcut to be updated to use the appropriate Outlook?

I'd argue that it is opening in the appropriate Outlook. :)

I'm trying not to switch for as long as I can. The functionality that is currently lost by switching cripples my current workflows, so I DO NOT want to switch anytime soon. lol

Well, I'm reluctantly making the switch. LOL I attempted to switch last year and there were a lot of bugs so I quickly switched back. But search is lightning fast (this pretty much makes it worth it alone) and I'm forcing myself to get used to conversation grouping (I know that's available in the old Outlook too). It's not perfect but it's come a long way, and I figured they're going to make us switch eventually, might as well get used to it before then.

I believe the BlueBeam team should be able to recognize which Outlook is running and have the "Ctrl-E" shortcut open a new email in the appropriate version. Or add an option to the "Keyboard Shortcuts" section of BlueBeam for picking the one you want. Again, if Microsoft is going to force users to change eventually, it would be nice for the BlueBeam team to be ahead of the change.

Funny story, when I tried to find an answer, I discovered that my "email PDF" tool no longer worked. ~~My IT guy is looking into it but if anyone has any suggestions, we're all ears.~~
We ended up doing a Bluebeam Revu reset. It works fine now.
I wonder if this will update the default Outlook for you @Robert Ferguson
