Within Engineering, there are instances where engineers need to sign their documents before handing them off for additional processing—such as the addition of cover sheets. Currently, the process allows for markups but not the insertion of cover sheets after a document has been signed. The proposed workflow accepts that the original signature may be invalidated, as long as the record reflects this change. Ideally, the goal is to allow downstream users to add cover sheets while ensuring all changes are clearly tracked in the document’s signature history.
