I did a quick search here and I was not able to find that this was asked here. But was BB recently updated to have the "repeat last" command? and if not, is there a plan to add this?
Can you please expand on this a bit more? I don't know of any 'commands' in Bluebeam. If you mean reuse the last tool then that is down in your status bar:
this will allow you to reuse the selected markup tool repeatedly without having to re-select it after each use. You then hit ESC to end using it.
I am using Auto CAD lingo here a bit, I apologize.
For me, the "reuse markup tool" has no effect. Tool stays active regardless.
In AutoCAD, after you ESC from a command, you can reactive last used tool with hitting spacebar. So is there a similar option in BlueBeam. After you ESC from a tool, to have an option/hotkey that will reselect the last used tool.
I understood what you meant by command and agree, sometimes you didn't plan to reuse a markup tool so even if you knew about the ' Reuse Markup Tool' feature that @Duane Gingras mentioned (I didn't), you may want to be able to right-click and have the last tool listed for quick access.
And thanks for the tip Duane.
Alright. I just learned that "reuse markup tool" works only for the markups in the toolbox. not line, text, etc. Those are by default "reusable". Like @Luke Shiras said, an option to select the last select tool. Granted hotkeys are useful, but sometimes, you are using a tool that you do not use that often and option to reselect it quickly (like spacebar in Auto CAD) would go long ways.
👆️This, this is why I started learning shortcuts. Even though my tool bars were easy to navigate, the extra time to move my mouse back and forth can add up after a while, especially on larger monitors.
Ah, i see what you mean. I f you use a tool and then go back to cursor you would like a quick way to go back to that last used tool. Short answer is, No.
However you can do the following. if there are tools that you typically use on a regular basis drag then to you 'my tools section' and then you just press the corresponding number on your keyboard. This is an example of my "My Tools"
The little numbers in the top right of each tool is your short cut. These are the tools i use on a daily basis so i just tap a number between 1 and 14 to select any tool. I also move things around in "My Tools" as needed. My full set in "My Tools" is 32 entries, but i regularly only use the top 6 or 7 spots. Press 3 to add a comments, ESC, press 4 to add comment with leader, ESC… and so on. All my typical tools are within reach of my left had.
Not everyone that uses BlueBeam is a power user. I personally have no problems, but I am thinking about other coworkers that do not use it as often and/or are not BB savvy. Is there a way to elevate this question to BB developers?
I am surprised this isn't feature. BB - Please add this asap.
Has anyone had Bluebeam stop refreshing the view while working on documents? This has become a real issue for me. I often have several single sheet PDFs open while reviewing plans sets. I do this so I can cross reference from one sheet to the other to verify all sheet are consistent. I need to be able to look at multiple…
When opening PDF's from file explorer the Preview and opening the PDF lags so bad, even up 30 seconds when it normally would take a few seconds to open.
We have callout tool set up with certain size of leader. Sometimes, I started with text box tool and need to add a leader later. The default leader size shows quite big. The font size is actually the same, just callout tool setting is 50% of the font size while the text box setting is auto. I can fix it. But I want to set…
Is there an option or way to disable the feature that allows a double left click to prompt the area box that allows you to zoom?
What is the best method to track version history. What I am looking to accomplish is having a combined set of my submittals to a general contractor that when they respond with AAN or R&R I can add that to the combined set and make it the new version of that set. When I want to look at past versions I can toggle between the…
I'm testing out 21.9 at the moment and have come across something which I'm not sure if it is a fault for everyone or just on my computer. Basically, I'm trying to export some tables to Excel but no details are added to the newly created file. Is anyone else experiencing this???
The gear on the left side of the screen toolbar use to have all of my edit tools (color, font, line size, etc.…) Now it is just file attachments and file properties and the edit tool are across the top toolbar. What did I do to change it and how to I fix it?
What is the schedule for enabling Cloud to allow batch stamping and signing of pdfs along with digital signatures as is available in Revu on Windows? It would be most helpful to be able to access, stamp, and sign drawings on an ipad instead of carrying laptops.

I used to use the "paint can" fill option all the time when organizing my PDF's, and that icon disappeared a couple years ago. Did it get changed or modified? Is there an alternative that will do a similar task?
