I did a quick search here and I was not able to find that this was asked here. But was BB recently updated to have the "repeat last" command? and if not, is there a plan to add this?
Can you please expand on this a bit more? I don't know of any 'commands' in Bluebeam. If you mean reuse the last tool then that is down in your status bar:
this will allow you to reuse the selected markup tool repeatedly without having to re-select it after each use. You then hit ESC to end using it.
I am using Auto CAD lingo here a bit, I apologize.
For me, the "reuse markup tool" has no effect. Tool stays active regardless.
In AutoCAD, after you ESC from a command, you can reactive last used tool with hitting spacebar. So is there a similar option in BlueBeam. After you ESC from a tool, to have an option/hotkey that will reselect the last used tool.
I understood what you meant by command and agree, sometimes you didn't plan to reuse a markup tool so even if you knew about the ' Reuse Markup Tool' feature that @Duane Gingras mentioned (I didn't), you may want to be able to right-click and have the last tool listed for quick access.
And thanks for the tip Duane.
Alright. I just learned that "reuse markup tool" works only for the markups in the toolbox. not line, text, etc. Those are by default "reusable". Like @Luke Shiras said, an option to select the last select tool. Granted hotkeys are useful, but sometimes, you are using a tool that you do not use that often and option to reselect it quickly (like spacebar in Auto CAD) would go long ways.
👆️This, this is why I started learning shortcuts. Even though my tool bars were easy to navigate, the extra time to move my mouse back and forth can add up after a while, especially on larger monitors.
Ah, i see what you mean. I f you use a tool and then go back to cursor you would like a quick way to go back to that last used tool. Short answer is, No.
However you can do the following. if there are tools that you typically use on a regular basis drag then to you 'my tools section' and then you just press the corresponding number on your keyboard. This is an example of my "My Tools"
The little numbers in the top right of each tool is your short cut. These are the tools i use on a daily basis so i just tap a number between 1 and 14 to select any tool. I also move things around in "My Tools" as needed. My full set in "My Tools" is 32 entries, but i regularly only use the top 6 or 7 spots. Press 3 to add a comments, ESC, press 4 to add comment with leader, ESC… and so on. All my typical tools are within reach of my left had.
Not everyone that uses BlueBeam is a power user. I personally have no problems, but I am thinking about other coworkers that do not use it as often and/or are not BB savvy. Is there a way to elevate this question to BB developers?
Hi all, I am looking into automating PDF overlays to compare architectural changes. Since there are more than 100 drawings, I am trying to create a hook that triggers when files are updated in the folder, automatically overlaying the PDFs and saving the output to a specified destination.
How can I delete a portion of the info from the Title where a file has hundreds of pages? The reason is when I send the file to the subcontractor, I dont want them to view my client's info or the project info. Only the drawing is enough.
In Bluebeam Revu 21, when I click on a markup, the properties tab does not update to show the properties of the selected markup. The only way I have found to fix this is to close and restart Revu. But this problem keeps repeating almost every day, it is extremely frustrating when adding markups to have to repeatedly…
Is there a way to set a customized Tool Chest/Tool Box as the "My Tools" default, so that the symbols/markups you have in your custom set can have the number shortcuts? I have created my own "My Tools" with customized formatted markups. However, I was hoping to share them with others in the office so they don't have to…
Is there a way to adjust the way a Markup/Callout can be input into a document when it comes from the Tool Chest? "My Tools" are setup with pre-formatted callouts for certain types of Quality Reviews of Construction documents. The formatting is office-wide. I created the shortcuts so i can have a "Hot Key" associated to…
What's up ya'll?! Does anyone else have a recurring copy/paste issue where you are not allowed to copy a markup and paste onto a different sheet within the same file? This has only recently appeared. The issue is resolved when I restart my computer but simply restarting bluebeam does not solve the issue. I am on the latest…
Hello - Does anyone know of any companies that review the quality of construction drawings prior to construction? Any that utilize AI? Thank you!
Hi, I am trying to figure out the best way to do collaborative P&ID markups with multiple colleagues using Bluebeam. We would like to do real-time collaborative markups of P&ID:s without having to check files in and out and then being able to download one or more files from the session to send to other disciplines, without…
