How to print markups outside the document area

Hi - new to the group. Confounded by this question.

I am not able to print markups outside of the document area and the document. In print settings I am able to print either the document or the markups but when I click document and markups the markups are cut off at the document edge. I am making markups outside the document area so the document is legible. If I didnt do this the document would be too busy. I dont understand why markups are printable without the document and the document is printable without the markups but I cannot print both together without the markups getting cut off at the document edge.

The markups have to be on the sheet for them to Print. I see two options for you.

A: Export the markups (either to a spreadsheet or a PDF).

B: Change the page size, so that the markups on on the "Paper" but outside of the original drawing.

To Do this, click on "Document", "Page Settings", Select either all pages, or current page.

Change the Media Size
Remove "AUTO SCALE"
Adjust the scale.
You can also might also want to center the media by adjusting the offset "X and Y).

I still am not getting the ability to print both at the same time

When I make the document settings changes - printing issues remain and the settings do not grab any of the area outside the document

Interesting. I never really tried it before today and I am now seeing that my markups also move on the page. Must be some more settings to play with…..

I don't think you can get that to work. I'm pretty sure you can only print what is in the confines of the page. It might be good to determine the space you need to be able to add all of those markups to a page, then create a blank page, screenshot the original document, copy each of the markups outside the original page area, paste them into the new document, and then print that.

The reason I don't think it's possible is because of what happens when you go to flatten those markups. They get erased outside the page boarder. The markups are still exportable, and the view can still be shown to others from Bluebeam, but I think you have to create a document that's large enough to contain everything in order to print everything.

I think they are on the right track with RE-setting (or PRE-setting) your sheet edge/margins to capture those "Clean" markups. Drawing a larger print area is going to re-frame everything with your original sheet treated sort of like an image inside that larger sheet. Therefore, the print drivers know all the markups are to be printed as they are in the frame of the page set up. If you can pre-define that and build your markup sets with those boundaries at a double or triple sheet size, seems like you could make this work.

Perfect example here of the computers only do what we tell them 8-)
