Creating Custom Statuses in Bluebeam Profiles

Hello everyone!

I'm a BIM manager at my architecture firm, and we're currently facing some challenges with Bluebeam sessions and assigning statuses. Each time I create a new document, I have to set the statuses again, which is quite frustrating.

I noticed that when I try to save the statuses to a Bluebeam profile, the option is grayed out. Can anyone explain why this happens? Is there a way to save statuses to a profile so that I don’t have to update them for every document I edit?

Can you add a new model with your own custom states? After doing that, I am able to click Save to Profile.

As @Ryan Arbuckle said, you'll want to make a model first. Without that, your custom statuses aren't something that can save to the Profile. It's kind of like the Markup List. The markups don't save to the profile and the filter state doesn't either, but reorganizing columns and creating custom columns does. Hope you got the answer you needed. Take care!

Coming back to this topic, I would love to include status options and rules to a profile for use in all projects. In the meantime, I just have a saved file (see below link) with my custom status settings and just add it to other files to "transfer" the status info.
