Peek behind markup in a studio session

During a studio session, markups are locked in place. Often it is needed to see the original text behind a markup.

The current workflow to do this involves saving the document and removing the mark up on a local copy which is time consuming and cumbersome.

Adding an option to see the underlying text would make the user interface feel more polished and reduce frustration.

This option could be implemented similar to the "show desktop" button on windows machine, where markups are hidden on the client while the button is hovered over.

  • Hi Zoey,

In Revu 21.2, which launched about a month ago, we now offer the ability to "hide" markups. This is feature can be accessed through the right-click context menu - on one or multiple markups - on the drawing or from within the Markups List. Think of this as a quick filter. Let us know if this addresses the need you are describing.

In addition to what Luke mentioned with the new hide option, you could just turn off the markups entirely (if it's needed) from the markups list panel. Click the small eye icon in the upper left and this will hide ALL the markups. Just don't forget to turn it back on. :)
