I did a quick search here and I was not able to find that this was asked here. But was BB recently updated to have the "repeat last" command? and if not, is there a plan to add this?
Can you please expand on this a bit more? I don't know of any 'commands' in Bluebeam. If you mean reuse the last tool then that is down in your status bar:
this will allow you to reuse the selected markup tool repeatedly without having to re-select it after each use. You then hit ESC to end using it.
I am using Auto CAD lingo here a bit, I apologize.
For me, the "reuse markup tool" has no effect. Tool stays active regardless.
In AutoCAD, after you ESC from a command, you can reactive last used tool with hitting spacebar. So is there a similar option in BlueBeam. After you ESC from a tool, to have an option/hotkey that will reselect the last used tool.
I understood what you meant by command and agree, sometimes you didn't plan to reuse a markup tool so even if you knew about the ' Reuse Markup Tool' feature that @Duane Gingras mentioned (I didn't), you may want to be able to right-click and have the last tool listed for quick access.
And thanks for the tip Duane.
Alright. I just learned that "reuse markup tool" works only for the markups in the toolbox. not line, text, etc. Those are by default "reusable". Like @Luke Shiras said, an option to select the last select tool. Granted hotkeys are useful, but sometimes, you are using a tool that you do not use that often and option to reselect it quickly (like spacebar in Auto CAD) would go long ways.
👆️This, this is why I started learning shortcuts. Even though my tool bars were easy to navigate, the extra time to move my mouse back and forth can add up after a while, especially on larger monitors.
Ah, i see what you mean. I f you use a tool and then go back to cursor you would like a quick way to go back to that last used tool. Short answer is, No.
However you can do the following. if there are tools that you typically use on a regular basis drag then to you 'my tools section' and then you just press the corresponding number on your keyboard. This is an example of my "My Tools"
The little numbers in the top right of each tool is your short cut. These are the tools i use on a daily basis so i just tap a number between 1 and 14 to select any tool. I also move things around in "My Tools" as needed. My full set in "My Tools" is 32 entries, but i regularly only use the top 6 or 7 spots. Press 3 to add a comments, ESC, press 4 to add comment with leader, ESC… and so on. All my typical tools are within reach of my left had.
Not everyone that uses BlueBeam is a power user. I personally have no problems, but I am thinking about other coworkers that do not use it as often and/or are not BB savvy. Is there a way to elevate this question to BB developers?
I am very new to BlueBeam, I have managed to insert my Professional engineer stamp, I need to insert the date and signature on the stamp, meaning to layover the date and signature on the stamp in a certain area, and all should be visible.
Hi all. I am a relatively new user to Revu(CORE). I am able to edit .pdf's with lines, shapes, lengths, etc. However, I've found out that a pdf (multiple times) that has text that I want to edit in Revu won't allow me to do that. Why can I edit lines, but not text? I'm a little flummoxed because I want to get of Adobe…
It would be awesome if there was a vba add in so that we could use vba macros to combine pdfs, without needing to save, open bluebeam and then combine files there.
I just moved to Bluebeam a couple months ago and I am very impressed with the functions it offers. I am working on a job with multiple people and am curious if we place a file on the network can multiple people get in the doc at the same time with read/write ability? I am thinking "Studio Sessions" might be the path i need…
In the Markups list, whether applying a filter or not, the length of a line does not show up. I would like to export to excel all the lines with length property, but in the markups list the length is not shown. Are the two "length" properties the same? Is this a bug? Thanks
Does anyone know hw to turn off this feature (brown help box) that lets you know the highlight is in use. toggling between different documents or screens, it moves every time you move documents. It is very distracting and moves your page.
In the past we were able to require fields to be filled out before an individual could save the form. Now, if I make a field required it only puts a red thick border around it. This allows individuals to skip a field and submit a form with missing information. It is driving me crazy. Someone please advise. Thank you! :)
I use custom stamps regularly and find panning up and down in the dropdown to be annoying since the icon to pan up or down is so small and when my pointer goes past it the drop down disappears, then I need to find my stamp again..! Please fix..
Hi Bluebeam Team and Community, I often use Dark Mode when reading long documents in Revu, as it’s much easier on my eyes. However, depending on the document content, I find myself frequently switching back and forth between Dark Mode and regular mode. Right now, I have to navigate through Revu > Preferences each time to…
Is there a way to disable the "(1 of XX)" part of the navigation bar? I manage pdf's that have page labels formatted "PID-xxx". The actual count of a page in the pdf, meaning the "(4 of 11)" part below, is irrelevant to our document structure. When navigating to a page, I use only the page label to get to it ("PID-869" in…
