Stretch handles are too large for small fonts

I'm working in some shared documents that are 30x42" and have small text elements. We are marking up those elements, sometimes repeatedly, with a team of people in a Studio Session. It can become challenging to edit though, since the selection box around the 2pt font is so large that it covers up the previous entry. Can the offset for the grab handles or the selection box be shrunk for smaller fonts?

I'm curious why you are using such a small font! 2pt font is tiny!
Also, have you changed the margins for your text boxes so they are tighter to the text?

In general the padding for selection area is too large, and makes it difficult to do lasso-type selections.
