Give Revu 21 to Revu 20 owners with maintence for the same price as they have been paying.

I have been told by Bluebeam support that there will not be a Revu 20 Add-in for Revit 2025. They say that an add-in should be available for Revu21 later this year, but they are not developing one for Revu 20…

Does this mean that we no longer have to pay for maintenance on Revu 20?

Please remember that we purchased Revu CAD for an astronomical price and we have also been paying for “Maintenance”. That is supposed to get us new features and 21 should have been included in that. I have not experienced this issue with any other software that we use.

Revu 21 is WAY too expensive! Especially since we had to pay to purchase Revu 20 CAD already.

If we can get Revu 21 (With the same functionality or better) for $81 per user/year, we can still be friends. $330 per user/year is truly an insult.

  • A 10% increase in subscription cost each year is not acceptable either.

  • Hi Chris

If you have active maintenance you will get access to Revu 21 for the maintenance price you are currently paying. I am not familiar with the USD price but here in the UK customers gain access to Revu 21 for the same maintenance price they have been paying (plus the 10% increase). When you renew this year you will be migrated at no cost except the renewal to Revu 21 with all of its features including Revit 2025 add on.

Only new licences are the new subscription prices

It is the same in USD. It is the 10% that is the problem. 5% every two years would be bad enough. Plus I discovered that they are bumping us from CAD to Complete so it will be $440/year eventually. If I am not mistaken, they moved some of the features of CAD into Complete instead of Core. I'm not sure why they need 3 versions. Complete would not even be worth $85 per user/year in my opinion.

Complete not worth the extra $85 per user per year!?!?! Are you nuts?
That's probably around 1 -2 hours of labour per person per year. its nothing. That's less than $8/ month.

You'll save that just by using the Batch Hyperlink functionality alone, on the first set of drawings you hyperlink.

  • Not Extra… It is not worth $85 per user per year period. TO MY COMPANY . The way we use this software, the value is not there.. What value TO MY COMPANY (Architect) does hyperlinking add? Besides, Revit does that to some extent too.

We purchased 50 licenses of Bluebeam already. We paid Maintenance (~$80) for each of them for (6) years even though we only have 31 employees each with multiple computers.

Let me try some math here so you might see where I am coming from.

(2023) Bluebeam Revu CAD Renewal Maintenance w/ Enterprise Licensing

    50 users x $80= $4,000

(2041) Bluebeam Complete figuring the ridiculous 10% increase each year.

    50 users x $440 = $22,000

How can anybody say that pricing increase makes sense? So no, I'm not complaining about $85. I'm complaining about $18,000 per year.

What are we paying maintenance/subscription for anyway? Remember, when they came out with 21, it was not given to us with maintenance (But, that is exactly why we paid for maintenance.. Updates.) How much has Bluebeam changed in the past 6 years?
