I’m really interested in seeing how Bluebeam Max is handling the MCP connection in real use and not just the polished demo version.

A few things I’m hoping to understand:

How is the MCP connection actually established inside Bluebeam Max? Is it a built-in integration, or is this something users have to configure themselves?

When Claude is reviewing a PDF, is it actually reading the drawing visually, or is Revu extracting the data and passing it over as structured information?

What does the final output look like? Does it show up as a markup directly in the PDF, a spreadsheet, a chat response, a report, or something else?

I’m also curious about the “hotkeys for tedious tasks” portion of the demo. That could mean a lot of different things. Are we talking about auto-numbering, batch stamps, repeated markup workflows, checklist automation, or something more advanced?

From a Cowbell Designs standpoint, I’m mainly listening for whether this could realistically support workflows like:

Permit set QC against a custom checklist
Door and window schedule verification
Egress path and occupant load cross-checks
Sheet index completeness reviews before submission

Basically, I’m trying to understand whether this is just a cool AI demo, or if it can become a reliable production tool for small architecture firms doing real permit documentation.
