i've been a user since 2013-ish and I never had this problem. worked last week and this week I', unable to.

Annoying.

I found a workaround based on Kenneth's post about the security issue. Windows is just trying to protect itself but it's still a total pain to need to do this for .pdf files…

Action: Select all of the .pdf files that aren't previewing, right click, select "scan with Microsoft Defender", (scans automatically), if it finds no threats, it will display the .pdf previews like normal.

I suggest using windows explorer to search for .pdf's, and do the above action on the .pdf's that you're working with.

I got a new pc and still doesnt work. the preview. what now? everything is x64. on a side note, click on a pdf from 2012, I can preview it. when I do a saveas, I'm unable to preview it.
