Sum up counts on same layer or when selected across different sheets

Largely would be helpful when doing quantity takeoffs for fixtures or devices. I use counts and then add them all to the same layer. When totaling these up I have to add them up across all pages. When highlighted, a summation total would appear in bottom right or somewhere (like excel). Or when counts are added to the same layer, a sub total is provided somewhere in the Markup List.

A useful workaround is to use the Markups List with the Count tool and group/filter by the layer.

Once the counts are on the same layer, you can use the Count column to see the quantity across the selected markups. If you need a running total across pages, filtering the Markups List to that layer makes it much easier to get the overall quantity.

A dedicated subtotal/total display when selecting or highlighting counts would definitely make takeoffs faster, though.
