How to set up status model for office

Hi, we have a dozen seats and do markups on Studio. We are trying to institute an office-wide color-coded status model. I can set it up for a single user but I am confused about how the custom status model is related to the profile, and how the profiles are shared with other users. Could somebody explain the workflow needed to accomplish this? Thanks for the help!

Hi! Yes, it can be a little confusing at first.

Think of it this way:

Custom Status = part of the Profile.

So, if you create your custom statuses and colors in one Profile, you need to share that Profile with the rest of the team.

A simple workflow would be:

1. Create your custom statuses + colors.

2. Save them in your office/master Profile.

3. Export/share that Profile with your team.

4. Each user imports the same Profile into Revu.

5. Now everyone can use the same color-coded status system.

The Studio Session itself doesn’t control these colors the Profile does.

For a dozen users, I’d recommend maintaining one master Profile and sharing it with everyone so the setup stays consistent, if you have any doubts please ask
