Is there another video on duct work calculations?

Question

I watched this one and noticed that you could measure with perimeter measurements and set that up in my tool box under metal duct and round duct. I noticed that they had calculations for pounds in the markup list but did not go into detail on how to set that up. I was wondering if there is another video on how those formulas where written?

Thanks for all the responses, I have been working off of the videos and suggestions. I am making some headway on it. The job I am working on is rather large so I am going to start by getting all of my columns built out on a small scale and then maybe layer the job by a weekly schedule of what work can be completed in that time frame. I am still would like guidance from you, Dhanush, if you have the time. I have a couple of weeks to put this all together.

Those pound values are custom columns built with a formula tied to the tool's built-in property, usually length or count multiplied by a weight-per-foot value for duct, or a flat weight times count for fittings. You can add a new custom column and set the formula to reference the measurement's length multiplied by whatever unit weight applies to that duct size. Once it's saved to your profile, every tool using that column carries the calculation automatically. Custom columns will help you avoid building thousands of tools for every duct size configuration. You may need a custom column for Duct Depth, Duct Width, and a choice column with gauges and associated weights. Then a formula would be totaled per linear foot. The Labor is another custom column and formula. This way, you draw one line over the ductwork to measure it, just like a manual workflow that you highlight after you measure and calculate everything, except in this case, the simple act of highlighting does all the calculating in the background.
