I would simply say what I need in plain English, and Bluebeam would handle the rest.

My Genie tool would be to allow dynamic blocks and scripting to create sets of markups. You want to show an HSS 4x4x1/4 as a markup to scale, just drop that in. You want to show #5 rebar with a standard hook to scale, just run a script.

I like the direction @Doug McLean is going with labeling spaces!

I would ask to be able to convert or trade custom markups. Example: If I am doing a take-off and I get a few pages through only to find another requirement and instead of my custom markup tool A, I need my custom markup tool G. I want to be able to select them and change them as a group.

I do a lot of digging in the specification manuals so a better search tool that will find all nuance variations to my search term, return the results in excel format with the entire paragraph the search term was found in, the specification number and title, and the paragraph number.

Have you got Max and Claude? If so, select all of the Tool A items that you want to change (assuming that you don't want to change all of them) then rename them something like Tool XXX. Then you need to make sure that there is a Tool G markup on the drawing - even if it just a temporary one. Next - go to Claude and ask it to change all of the Tool XXX markups to a Tool G markup.
If you want to change all of the Tool A markups then skip the selecting and renaming part.

You could be using AI for this. If you don't have Max and Claude, you can upload your Spec file to whichever platform you use and ask it to give you the results that you want.
I'm using Max and the skills in Claude for summarising specs, construction make ups, etc. all of the time now e.g. I get Site Investigation reports which are often 600+ pages long. I have a saved skill in Claude and all I have to enter is "Provide a SI Report Summary for the active Bluebeam file" - that's it. Claude searches for the most important details to me as a groundworker - topsoil depths, CBR values, contamination issue, etc and then searches for any other issues that are out of the norm. (I've specified the main points in the skill). All the findings are put into an Excel file with a front sheet highlighting all of the main points, the individual sheets for things like the topsoil depths, CBR values, etc..
600+ pages summarised in about 5 mins.

Thanks for update, we don't have MAX yes, my company is a slow adopter because there are so many of us. And honestly, I just started using Copilot here about 2 months ago so I am still learning what it can do or not do.

I know that you will still have to create the Spaces initially Doug, but have you tried using Claude to name them? I've just tried it out on some parking spaces and it worked! It was a bit slow but I'm sure that it would be much faster if it were a skill.

The magic wand that allows you to copy and paste one markup with ALL its properties and metadata onto another markup — including the layer it's in and the assigned legend.

I agree but you have to do this one at a time. If you have Claude then you can write one instruction to change 100 or even 1,000 markups at once.

I also had heard about that coming. I wasn't sure if, in the meantime, you could create the spaces as normal but then let Claude name them all to save a bit of time.

Thanks. It is lentghy in time to write that kind of instruction to an AI. It is not so much the question of apllying that command (of "magic wand") to hundreds of elements. The question of the possibility / capability / ability of doing so is the first question. There should be a command button to do that in one button. And thereafter AI helps to do it on hundreds of elements.

The instruction to Claude would literally be something along the lines of "On the active Bluebeam drawing, replace all of the markups with the Subject of "Type A" with the "Type B" markup. - that is it.
