I appreciate Bluebeam’s commitment to account security through MFA. However, I’d like to raise a practical concern from the perspective of companies managing licenses for their staff.
Currently, MFA requires employees to use their personal mobile devices for authentication. Many companies do not issue business phones, and staff members are understandably hesitant to use personal devices for work-related MFA setup. This creates friction in account creation and adoption.
We hope Bluebeam can consider offering alternative authentication methods in addition to MFA. For example, other industry platforms such as Autodesk and Trimble allow users to receive authentication codes via email. This approach balances strong security with flexibility, while respecting staff privacy and company policies.
Providing more authentication options would make Bluebeam accounts easier to set up and manage, especially in enterprise environments where licenses are company-owned but employees rely on corporate IT policies.
Thank you for considering this request — I believe it would greatly improve usability and adoption across organizations.
