CTRL+SHIFT+V = Paste in place is one of my favorite gems.
Chasing a riser up a building? Simply place a markup on it, copy it, go to the next floor you need to locate it and hit CTRL+SHIFT+V. It works off page coordinates so the drawings must align, but it beats pulling measurements off gridlines (assuming we have gridlines) !

I use Tools β> Form β> Text Boxs to create quick calculation template that require a graphic. It is Excel work but you get other tools to do markup, e.g. arrows, C-stud section, etc.

This only works for Text and not pictures and only works of the pdf can recognize text.
Sometimes a set of plans has the wrong information on it and you need to change the text in a few places (think wrong address, misspelled name, wrong code called out, wrong detail called out, etc.).
If you make a mistake it is easy to go back with Ctrl-Z before you hit save.
If you do save and find the information you changed is bad up the road, just do the Search again.
