Tool: Quantity Link (Excel Integration)

🔹One feature I don't see talked about enough is Quantity Link.

🔹Instead of manually copying quantities from your Markups List into Excel, Quantity Link creates a live connection between Revu and your spreadsheet. As markups and quantities change in the PDF, your Excel workbook can be updated without re-entering data.

🔹For anyone doing takeoffs, estimates, or quantity tracking, this can save a surprising amount of time and reduce manual errors.

🔹Are you using Quantity Link in your workflow, or are you still exporting quantities manually to Excel?

For my workflows, I like to use a lot more of the Markup List than just the summary measures of a Subject e.g. if I markup the area of a window then, as well as having the details for each window, I also want to export the width and height measurements for calculating things such as cavity closers, lintel lengths, etc..

So I export the Markup List to a csv file then use Power Query in Excel to automatically grab the info from the csv and starting manipulating the data therein.

Ditto on Vince's comment. I found QL a bit glitchy. Off topic but would like to see an updated Legend that would take the Markup List and import similar to the parameters of the CSV export and then have basic spreadsheet functions (Lotus 123ish)

@Don Walke Power Query is most definietly the way to go at the moment - although I did ask again about a direct link into Excel for the full markup list, at last week's London Unbound.

I'd like to see a feature for categorizing spaces. I also wonder if the export could be to XLS file instead of CSV because CSV files can become unstable and have to be converted to XLS to stabilize. It seems like there could be some AI intelligence for exporting take off's.
