how do i export to excell and change ft,inches to a digital number

Question

i can get it over to excell in a csv format but all of my measurments read as 5' 4" etc. I can not get excell to total those. I have played around with the setting in columns and output section before exporting but can not get it to work,

Try selecting your measurements, then going to the properties toolbar, hit "Units," and change "length" from "ft'in" " to "ft."

You may need to go into the scale and change the precision to get the number digits after the decimal that you prefer.

yes changing to just FT fixed it. is there a way to reduce the decimal places or round it up?
