I have a large file of prints and only want to print by word search , I found 218 results from a 702 content file but cant see how to print these 218 or create a file with them.
I've run into the same limitation. Search does a great job finding all instances, but there's currently no direct way to print or extract only the search results. One workaround is to sort the results by page, identify the pages containing the hits, and then use Extract Pages to create a separate PDF for printing.
It would be a huge productivity boost if Bluebeam added a "Print Search Results" or "Create PDF from Search Hits" option directly within the Search panel especially when dealing with hundreds of pages and hundreds of matches.
Thank you so much for your response , I totally agree , having an option to print the search or create a new file would be an immensely positive value add to BB. i will try the page route and get what I need Thanks again.
Not sure if I am following this fully but I'm assuming that you just want to print the pages that contain certain words. If this is the case, then simply run the word search and use the highlight tool for the results. Once you've done this then select the highlights in your markup list. Once they're selected go to the Thumbnails panel. In that panel you will see that all the pages containing the searched for word are highlighted blue - when over one of the highlighted blue thumbnails, right click on your mouse then you can choose to print or extract just those pages.
Nice trick!
Will try this out Thank you
Was having a hard time following but i used the Extract option to select the pages i needed to be printed from the 703 file
