Pop up window

Question

Using Bluebeam in the office, after creating a PDF (using print command in Revit), the Bluebeam window will open on top of any and all other windows, using Bluebeam at home the window does not open on top, the taskbar icon flashes. I like when the newly created PDF pops up. A small thing I know, I guess my OCD is working overtime. I've looked in preferences but cannot find this setting. Is this a Windows thing or a Bluebeam thing. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it's OCD at all, I actually prefer the same behavior! 😄

From what I've seen, this is usually more of a Windows focus management issue than a Bluebeam setting. Windows sometimes prevents applications from "stealing focus" so instead of Revu popping to the front, it just flashes the taskbar icon.

A couple of things I'd compare between your office and home setup:

- Different Windows versions or focus assist settings

- Whether Revit and Bluebeam are running with the same privilege level (both normal or both as administrator)

- Any IT or group policy settings on the office machine that allow the PDF viewer to take focus

I don't believe there's a dedicated preference in Bluebeam Revu to control this behavior, so you probably weren't missing anything in the settings. It would be interesting to hear if anyone else has found a Windows tweak that consistently brings newly created PDFs to the front.
