What It Does
Reads every markup in the active PDF and exports the full comment thread — original markup plus all replies — into a structured Excel log. This skill turns the replies thread in your markups list into usable data.
Markups with no replies are included as open, unanswered issues. The workbook has two sheets: a summary thread view and a flat reply-by-reply detail tab for deeper review or filtering.
Expected Output
A two-sheet Excel workbook (Reply_Thread_Log.xlsx) delivered as a download. Sheet 1 contains one row per markup thread with the full reply chain stacked in a single cell. Sheet 2 contains one row per individual reply across all threads. Both sheets are sorted, color-coded by status, and formatted for immediate distribution or filtering.
Pro Tips
- Run this at the end of a review cycle — it captures the full communication record from a Studio Session or distributed review in one pass, ready to forward to the project team or owner.
- Filter the Thread Log by "No Status" to quickly surface all threads where a decision was discussed in replies but never formally closed with a status change.
- The Reply Detail sheet is your search layer — use Excel's filter on Reply Author to see every response a specific reviewer made across the entire document set.
