Good morning, I am responsible for setting up multiple plan review sessions for our municipal Department of Engineering & Operations. We review plans for capital construction and new development. As the session creator I do not receive an invitation to the session but I do receive a notification that the session has been set up.
The session name and assigned session number in the email notification used to be a hyperlink to the session seen in the email as blue highlighted text. Last week that changed and now the session name and number are in plain black text with no hyperllink. There is a "View Session" button that links me to the session.
My issue is that prior to this change, I was able to cut and paste the hyperlinked session name and number into a weekly agenda document circulated to all members of our review team (currently over 50 members) as well as a tracking spreadsheet. By removing that hyperlink feature, there is now no easy way to track sessions and allow team members to click on the hyperlink in the agenda to open a session should they have missed the original email invitation.
I am curious as to why this incredibly useful feature was removed. It will create a much more unwieldy process to allow for easy session access using a weekly agenda and tracking spreadsheet. Please note that I am aware that people can click on the "not joined" side of their session list to find any unopened sessions but this is not always failsafe because not everyone has the most recent version of the software (mostly because the update has to go through our IT division and it takes more time than if they were able to perform the update themselves). The weekly agenda and tracking spreadsheet are also valuable tools for management to see what sessions are late and determine what is required to move the plan review forward.
I appreciate that for many this might be a small problem that does not amount to a hill of beans. For me, it has created a real problem to figure out the easiest way to track sessions moving forward, especially given I do not receive the session invitation.
Cheers! Kathy
