No Spaces Between Words When Typing in a text Box

I'm trying to fill out some ITB Documents with BB but whenever I create a new text box and then type in the text box my space bar does not work. This just becomes a long string of words. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the issue remains.

I never had this problem previously, and have been running BB on my Surface Pro with Snapdragon(R) X 12-core X1E80100 for about a year now. Please let me know if anyone else has had this issue and know the remedy.
