Good Morning
Has anyone successfully imported their take-off from Bluebeam via excel into Trimble Contract Master Estimation software and have you managed to link an item in that take off to your database item?
By the sounds of it, you will probably want to look into Power Query in Excel.
Export your Bluebeam csv file then use PQ in Excel to manipulate and clean up that information so it is ready to upload into Trimble.
This sounds like a lot of work but once the PQ setup is done it can be reused over & over - simply link a new csv file to the Excel file and press refresh.
Thanks I'll give a go
@Bryn Shepherd I'm not familiar with Trimble Contract Master Estimation software, but I work in Trimble's B2W estimation software product daily. Using some custom tools, exporting my markups to a .CSV, and washing the data with Power Query as @Vince French mentioned I can upload my takeoff into B2W with minimal manual entry. I'd imagine something similar would be possible with your software. The key is understanding that import format that the software requires and then customizing your markup tools/data washing to get you there.
Hope this helps. 😎
Thanks David, I'll look into it
