We have been asked to upgrade a community hall that was built in 1935
It needs new scissor trusses to replace the old sagging rafters. How do I calculate the pitch?.
The drawing is to scale at 1/4" - ft
Thanks
Murray
Hello Murray,
You can follow the steps in this link to see if this helps you with a solution. https://support.bluebeam.com/legacy/how-to/how-to-calculate-roof-area-using-a-custom-column-formula.html?_gl=115fladf_gcl_awR0NMLjE3NjcyMDA0ODYuQ2owS0NRaUFzTlBLQmhDcUFSSXNBQ20wMWZUNS1fZm91RTBLNG1tbFpoR3pVQkE1ZEFFdlRWSEg4YjFKdmVTeVdfZmNqUmRJZUhSY3ZFRWFBdXRXRUFMd193Y0I._gcl_auNjEyMjkzNDM0LjE3NjQ5NjgxODI._gaMTExMjY4MjcxMy4xNzU3MDk1ODky_ga_Y03FGV8YCR*czE3NzA4NDM0MzAkbzM3JGcxJHQxNzcwODQ0MzYwJGo1OSRsMCRoMA..
If you are looking for the area of the roof, you can also use the Pitch / Degree / Grade function which can be found in the Measurements panel. If you are just looking for the pitch of the roof and you have a section through the building, then you Angle tool which is Shift + Alt + G.
