Yes, the standard shapes do not leave much room for customization (margins, etc). The only way I have made these work is by creating a grouped markup (standard shape behind text box with number. Set the number to the highest you think the sequence will go, then group and add to toolchest). This comes with a caveat though. On the latest versions I have had some issues with my grouped sequences and getting them to resume. Normal sequences resume just fine.
