I wanted a system that would allow me to choose a pricing based on the measurement itself, the depth area, or a simpler lump sum type value.
I highlighted the part of the formula that does this. You can ignore the [Qty Added]. That was just so that I could have the added flexibility of fudge factors on quantities.
There is apparently an equation like for any number of variables that you want where one expression is equal to 1 when all other expressions are canceled out. This is just the equation that works for three values = to 1, 2 and 3. When X is 1, Y and Z cancel and so on for Y and Z when they equal 2 or 3 respectively.
I am not math inclined but Gemini says that we're exploiting "LaGrange basis polynomials" and as I said, there's one of these for any number of mutually exclusive variables that you would want to have in a Bluebeam formula, they just get more complex the more that you add.
