Trouble transitioning

I’ve used Bluebeam revue on my iPad for the last 4 years. Trying out the Bluebeam studio app to get ready for the drop of revue before 12/25 and I can’t help to feel like it’s a shell of what review was.

I do use Bluebeam on my laptop as well, but the tablet is easier to have on the ready in the field.

The new mobile app seems to be missing a few things: calibration and measurement and tool chests including sequencing tools.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. You’re right that the new Bluebeam app looks and feels different because it’s built on a completely new foundation. We release updates at least once a month, and up to this point have focused on delivering basic markups and reliable file access so the app wouldn’t crash on you. Our biggest focus through September was making sure you could open and work with your files with or without an internet connection and with or without Studio. Now we’re shifting to bringing more tools back into the app.

Here’s what’s coming next:

December release: basic measurements, setting scale, and support for form fields.
Tool Sets: we’re finalizing early access for the end of the year, with broad availability planned for Q1. V1 won’t include sequences yet, but those advanced markup tools are part of our 2026 roadmap.
Calibration (set scale by measuring): planned for a future iteration in 2026. In the meantime, you’ll be able to enter the scale manually for any page.

Revu for iPad will be removed from the App Store later this year since it’s not compatible with newer versions of iPadOS, but you can keep using it if it’s already installed. More info here: https://www.bluebeam.com/revu-ipad-eol/
