Markup List – PDF Summary Suggestion
I use this markup list feature to generate a PDF that shows storefront type/configuration along with quantity and size. It works great! However, when I have multiple markups of the same type/configuration, each occurrence is listed individually—even if they’re identical—just located in different places on the building.
This can result in a long, repetitive list that’s hard to scan. It would be very helpful to have an option that shows only the first occurrence of a markup label when there are duplicates, while still displaying the total quantity and size.
For example, instead of listing 17 identical A.04 markups separately, the summary would show:
- Label: A.04
- Type/Configuration: [Storefront Type]
- Size: [Dimensions]
- Quantity: 17
- (Only the first instance is shown; the other 16 are suppressed)
This would keep the summary concise and readable, while still conveying all the necessary information. It would be especially useful when sharing my takeoff with others.
