Open Web Links in DEFAULT Browser

Here is my issue folks - clicking on a web link in a document does not open in the default browser, but in one of my other installed browsers. This behavior is experienced only with Bluebeam and one Trimble software, the rest of my installed applications obey my default browser setting.

Has anyone encountered such issue and do you know how to fix it?

My OS is Windows 11, the default browser is Brave, and Bluebeam Revu x64 Core ver.21.6.1 opens links in Chrome.

If you navigate to the windows setting for "Default Apps", then go to the bottom of the page and select "Set defaults by app", you should be able to find your Brave browser. Select Brave and you should see a bunch of protocols that open that program. Some of them are probably set to Chrome, but specifically change the HTTPS links to Brave. See snapshots

I have done that, still, Revu opens the links in Chrome. The same pdf document loaded in different app (SumatraPDF) opens the links in my default browser which leads me to believe that the issue is with Revu.

When I change mine from Chrome to edge, it sticks. Maybe a specific issue between Revu and Brave? Only thing I can think of.

What browser is opening, what windows are you on, and if you could please post at least the first portion of the web link. I am sure this is true for all web links you are using, just wat to try to cover as many bases as possible.

Hold up, yours says Brave HTML doc. it shoudl say something like URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol. It is trying to read those links as a doc from what it looks like:

Thank you for keeping with me.

My OS is Windows 11. My default browser is Brave, I use it for work only. The links from PDFs opened in Revu open in Chrome. The same PDF opened in another PDF application open in Brave. The PDF file is attached, look for RFI 138 in lower left corner, this markup is a link.

It could be Windows 11 problem, I don't feel in charge of my PC since I upgraded. But the fact that other apps open the link properly makes me wonder …

Regarding HTTPS description in my previous screenshot, in Windows 11 it is presented simply as HTML Document, there is no hypertext transfer protocol etc.

Unable to markup
