Bluebeam Hyperlink Concern

Hi, I am IT support for my company, and we have a few users experiencing a concerning feature that is in BlueBeam. This feature is called " Find Hyperlinks in PDF Content." With this enabled, we have experienced it turning regular text that is not meant to be a link in any way into a link, and when the user clicks that link, it throws them to random websites that were very sketchy. And if this happens to other users, it could create links and send users to websites that could contain malware and viruses. I just wanted to bring this to attention as it could be pretty harmful if BB creates random links out of normal wording.

I don't use that feature most of the time for a similar reason. I wonder what the program looks for to create these hyperlinks in the first place.

Very strange. Do you have some examples of words that turned into links?

I'm wondering if it is misreading some ends of sentences as links, for example, "…where crossing traffic lanes is necessary. Coming to unlit crosswalks…" becomes Necessary.com
