It would be a great help for me if locked objects were marked when clicked on, for example with a padlock, as it does in other programs.
I understand that you are requesting that the markup "handles" become padlocks when a locked object is selected. But I believe the feature you are requesting already exists. The handles will display as grey instead of yellow colored if the selected object is locked. So, it seems that you can already tell visually that the object is locked.
