The Dynamic Fill tool works very well for measuring surface areas within a closed boundary. I wish Bluebeam had a similar feature perhaps within the highlight tool that would allow the user to highlight/fill enclosed spaces similar to the paint bucket tool in Windows Paint. This highlight/markup would then appear in the markups list.
Hmm… I think dynamic fill does what you're looking for. You can use the Polygon Markup option and then choose the setting for the markup that you want. A good way to streamline this would be to create custom markup tools that have the polygon markup properties set how you like. Then, when you click the down arrow, next to the polygon markup button of the dynamic fill floating bar, you can select the tool you would like to use. Then just use the dynamic fill tool as usual. Now you have an auto-filled area that appears in your markups list.
Also, you can select multiple options to create, so if you want a space created, a polygon and a volume, it can create all three at once. Just highlight each one with the options you want, use the dynamic fill, and then click apply and it will make all options selected.
