Scale Snapshots to match page content?

One recurring request I get is help scaling two separate views/snapshots/markups to be the same size. Often, the source views are not at a preset scale so doing the math isn't a realistic option and even when it is, it seems there should be an easier way. Like using the three points to align overlays but in this case, use three points to scale up/down a snapshot. Probably could be done with just two points really. Stretching by hand seems so "primitive". 🐒

This is a tricky one, but I found a way that I use for adding Map images to scale on a PDF. This method works very well when there is a known length on the image.
1. Load in your image - it will not be to scale.
2. Dimension a length - it will not be the correct length
3. Group the Image and the Length - this will help scaling the image as it 'locks' in the X & Y to one another.
4. Calculate the (Measured Length/Actual Length) * Layout x (in the Properties Access Panel at the bottom)=New X value (or re-scalled value)

That should come up to scale - sorry about the steps, I am not sure of a quicker way that is accurate.

If this gets confusing, I think I have a recording somewhere.

@Shanoc Halliday Bluebeam That's how I've done it most recently. Typically we're transferring one sheet of markups from an early plan at X scale to a newer plan at Y scale. Grouping the markups really helps and using a "reference" line for scaling does make it easier.

In the example above, If I measure dimension "A" and the two values were 3.5 vs 5.1 then I would scale the small image up 1.457 times. (5.1/3.5). I was just hoping we could just scale by selecting two points on the left and then two corresponding points on the right.
