Dimmer: The Dimmer menu contains tools to control dimmer effects on the content layer of the PDF in order to better see annotations.

Dim Content (CTRL+F5): Toggles the dimmer effect on or off.

0-100%: Set the level of dimming as a percentage. The lower the percentage, the less intense the underlying PDF will appear compared to the annotations.

Great Tip! This is one of my favorite tools! When I first started using Bluebeam Revu, this was my default setting as a BIM technician incorporating redlines into Revit models. It enables me to be quick and efficient AND not miss anything.

And the companion tool (which isn't as accessible) "Filtered Annotation Dim:". You use the Dimmer to emphasize your markups and then use this to emphasize your filtered markups. Set to 0% to just see your filtered markup or set to a value greater than 0% to see a greyed out version of the markups filtered against.
