This week, we're highlighting how to add Actions to markups in Bluebeam Revu!

PDF markups can be configured to perform certain actions when clicked, like jumping to a specific location in a document or opening another file when you add an Action.

In addition, Tool Chest tools can be configured to create markups with defined actions automatically.

Share with us your thoughts on adding Actions to markups:

  • Do you or your team add Actions to markups?
  • Are you typically adding Actions to: jump to a place or space in a document or opening a hyperlink?
  • How do you think adding Actions to markups could help improve your work in the future?

Helpful tips:

  • The action icon only appears in Revu and will not be accessible if the PDF is viewed in another PDF viewer or editor. The action will be accessible if the markup is flattened.

Comments

  • I use Markup actions to navigate through drawing details. Love it!

  • I'm a new user [Just started working with Revu 02DEC2024] and I've been using this feature quite a bit to link from one document to another for easy referencing between DOO's/SOO's and drawings. But I've run into a bit of a bothersome issue;

    If I place these actions on text markups, it quickly becomes quite cluttered. Is there a way to move the little icons in relation to the markup they're attached to?
