Re: Improve the compatibility of polylength measurements and spaces
Hi all,
We do have plans to fix the issue described by Meri in the OP. We are planning to release this with an update later this year.
The issue described by Rupesh is one we also would like to resolve but we don't currently have a timeline for that. One way we were thinking of addressing this would be a method to "split markup by Space", similar to how Counts can be split by Space. However, if we did this, this would create multiple area measurements - one for each Space that area resides within. Would this be a reasonable solution? Can you provide specific workflows or examples of specific materials and floor plan conditions that call for this?
Re: 🗓️ July 2025 Challenge - Setup Spotlight!
I wear two hats at the office. I am an Electrical Estimator, and my secondary hat where I create/Engineer drawings.
I set up two different profiles, with corresponding tool sets to match each role. Estimating Profile for takeoff, Engineering Profile has everything I need to create and mark-up drawings.
Here are screenshots of both profiles.

Re: Log out of BB when closing the app
If I understand you correctly, my guess is that the idea behind subscriptions is that it is 1 per seat. So Bluebeam appears to be designed around this principle meaning the user would not have to sign-out if each user has his/her own personal computer. In a few words, you don't sign-out of Bluebeam; you just simply LOCK your computer and go to lunch.

Milwaukee Packout! kit your sh*t and its always together.
Re: Change Case command for Text
This would save copying text to MS Word, converting, and pasting back again. Please add the feature
Re: Markup List filter section is grey even on the bluebeam test document
Reinstalled and working fine now. I appreciate everyone trying to help!
Re: Revu has high memory usage
Have you tried adjusting VRAM settings? This is where the system can set aside some disk space and use it as Psuedo-RAM. This is located under advanced system settings. Two things I usually adjust under "Performance" settings:
- Visual Effects: Turn everything down except Smooth Edges of screen fonts. This can reduce the system load when switching windows and programs. Little things will change like when you move a window it just shows an outline instead of the preview of the window moving.
- "Advanced/Virtual Memory": I will usually just turn off the "Automatically Manage" and switch to "System Managed". This way the system will pull disk space as needed. You can always set manual , and it gives a current and recommended at the bottom of the page. I have heard that this works best when using rounded bit values (divisible by eight), but I have never had a problem with it either way. Requires system restart to take effect.
Re: Revu Additional Right Click Options: Select Similar
A great workaround. You can use the Markup Filter and Sort By features to make this workaround easier.
The "Select Similar" is challenging to implement and would require lots of control options because each user would have a definition of "similar".
E.g. for some, Similar would be based on only Markup type (Text Box), while for others they may Similar based on Markup type, colour, layout, space, status and author (or other criteria such as rotation, width, height …)
Re: The Ultimate "Start Here" Guide for Owner/Operator
Ask yourself what would help you more quickly and accurately create bid estimates and bid documents. Write a short list. Look up ways to use Bluebeam to specifically do those things and test a few out on a project you previously bid or a new simple one. For example, you might look at how to do quick material takeoffs and export that data to excel.
The Ultimate "Start Here" Guide for Owner/Operator
I purchased Bluebeam. I'm co—owner of a small civil contractor. I'm multifaceted; project management, estimator, and sometimes superintendent.
We bought Bluebeam for the following reason: "Systematically increase our ability to bid and win projects". Right now, it feels like there is too much to learn in Bluebeam. What are the learning paths you recommend?
