BCP Exam Update Coming in 1 Week
The Bluebeam Certified Professional exam will be updated effective June 3rd. This update includes stronger task-based questions, revised exam objectives, and a new limit on exam attempts. You can see all details and how to prepare here.
VBA Add in
It would be awesome if there was a vba add in so that we could use vba macros to combine pdfs, without needing to save, open bluebeam and then combine files there.
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Dimmer
Mmm… yeah, that could do it for me. I'll try using that as a way to confirm my markup completeness, the next time I do a takeoff, and see if it does anything for me. Thanks for the tip!
Re: Suggestions for Enhancing Measurement Tools in Bluebeam – Insights from AutoCAD & Revit User
I love this community, because there are so many ideas I've had in the past that I always seem to forget about by the time I get a chance to say something. These are two things I've wished for since beginning my journey of becoming a Bluebeam user. "Pick line" would make such a big difference, and probably wouldn't be too hard to do with a little "AI" action. As for the hatch pattern… I think the line custom line patterns could use some upgrades too, but I'll leave that idea in the recommendation I saw on here a few weeks ago.
Re: Ctrl-E Keyboard Shortcut
Funny story, when I tried to find an answer, I discovered that my "email PDF" tool no longer worked. My IT guy is looking into it but if anyone has any suggestions, we're all ears.We ended up doing a Bluebeam Revu reset. It works fine now.
I wonder if this will update the default Outlook for you @Robert Ferguson
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Dimmer
I use the dimmer a lot when measuring things like drainage on large housing schemes. Basically, I will measure the scheme with the drawing as normal but then I'll apply the dimmer so I can do a quick scan over the site to make sure I haven't missed something - an area without any markups really does stand out rather quickly.
Re: ✴️ Feature Highlight: Dimmer
I'm going to be honest, I haven't found a great use for this feature. I don't use Bluebeam for what I assume was being thought of when dimming was added as a feature. I need to have the PDF content in full visibility for what I do, so I don't see a great use for it… yet.
Re: Ctrl-E Keyboard Shortcut
I'd argue that it is opening in the appropriate Outlook. :)
I'm trying not to switch for as long as I can. The functionality that is currently lost by switching cripples my current workflows, so I DO NOT want to switch anytime soon. lol
Re: how do I filter out only my mark-ups to transfer to another PDF
It would be good to see your Markup List and what customisations you have made. The point is to consider the Markup List as a database and look at how you can manipulate the data. My apologies if you are not new to this concept 🙂.
Jes's answer is perfect in answering your specific question, but what if there are other markups? Or only select a few of your Makups. One simple idea would be to create Custom Statuses with a "Transfer" and potentially a "No Transfer" option and then create a filter to show only the "Transfer" status markups. Then save this Filter in your Profile for future use.
In Jes's options above, I tested No. 1 and it will transfer ALL Markups - you could use the Filter for "No Transfer" to isolate all the Markups that you dont want and delete them.
Jes' No. 2 option works.
Oh have a look at Slip Sheet and or using Sets to update Markups automagicly from one drawing to another. 👍️
Re: Blueprints
Glad this is what you are looking for, @Humberto Espitia . The beauty of this exercise is that you can create corresponding Bookmarks with one click - from "Page Labels" option in the Bookmarks dialog.
It is the same, vice versa, if you use page regions to create the Bookmarks first.
