Re: 🗓️ April 2025 Challenge - Spring Into Structure!
Pinning files is so helpful! Almost as helpful as making sure the Preferences/General/Options - "Reopen Files from Last Session on Startup" check box is on and leaving active projects open… also have to uncheck Window/Auto-Hide Tabs. That's not cheating!
Re: 🗓️ April 2025 Challenge - Spring Into Structure!
I will check on that references setting. We are on a network drive. I do believe it has sharepoint capabilities. Thanks @Doug McLean .
Re: Microsoft OneDrive Sync. With Bluebeam Cloud
You are giving me some ideas, thanks Jes. I appreciate the info.
Re: 🗓️ April 2025 Challenge - Spring Into Structure!
I've never had an issue with more than one person being able to access the .bex file, that one is new. Its possible you could be saving it wrong as you should be using relative references when creating the Set.
The individual pages within a set are still locked out though.
Are you using a network drive, SharePoint, ??? Something seams off to me with this workflow

Re: 🗓️ April 2025 Challenge - Spring Into Structure!
My usual go to with structure is to pin files to the File Access Tab. This keeps everything nice and organized.
As an Estimator, I usually have at least one bid on the go, two or three pending and a few jobs that were won but that I need to keep easy access to in order to process changes, pinning helps me do all that.
I even have some custom categories for Training and often used documents.
I also use and LOVE Sets. Great feature for keeping the most up to date file handy and they can also help you access multiple disciplines from one central location. Why should you have to go searching through File Explorer for other drawings, when you can just access them through Sets?
The last thing I use to help keep everything organized is Spaces. Best sorting tool in Revu if you ask me.
Not only can they be used in Plan, they can be used in Elevation to group assembly's together (and with a little Excel Power Query magic, I can do WAY more with them). It really is a handy little feature.
Re: Bluebeam's New Podcast - Future Built Episode 1 is Live!
Great to hear Stephanie's and Luke's origin stories. It was quite an entertaining and informative episode to listen and watch. Nice work team!! I had to laugh when Stephanie mentioned doing door takeoffs as this is a big part of my job today being a doors and hardware subcontractor. Looking forward to watching episode 2 :).
Re: Bluebeam's New Podcast - Future Built Episode 1 is Live!
This was an interesting conversation. I think our current Bluebeam Community shows this diversity of career options pretty well. Bluebeam is certainly NOT a one-trick pony. My dad was a concrete finisher for about 30 years and told me to stay far away from construction. He told me to get a degree and find a good desk job. Well, I got the degree and a good desk job… in the construction industry. I hope he isn't disappointed in me. I actually tried to stay clear. I joined the Army, went to college for about 10 years (only one degree to show for it though), and married a city girl. I thought I'd never need to deal with the trades. Well, I don't recall exactly what got me here (probably the COVID lockdowns), but I couldn't be happier, and Revu is one of my all time favorite programs to work with.
As for the Mean Tweets… that was pretty funny. I love when total strangers say things like "this is the worst thing ever 0/10". They give no support to the claim and expect other strangers on the internet to just take their word for it. lol
Re: Bluebeam's New Podcast - Future Built Episode 1 is Live!
What a great story. I've been really thinking that we need to get more of these kind of stories into the podcast in the future, I like to hear people's "origin stories".
Also I was a bit worried that the mean tweets thing might come off as me not taking feedback seriously. My whole job is bascially listening to people complain about Bluebeam and I want them to know that it IS important to me to understand what's going on and to try to find solutions and fixes. But it was fun to just joke around with Luke, so I think it came off in a light hearted way.
Next episode is coming out soon, so stay tuned as they say!
