BUG PROGRAM UPDATES & FAQ:

» Q: WHO ARE THE USBUG CHAMPIONS & WHAT DO THEY DO?

» A: USBUG Champions are: 

  • Former city BUG champions 
  • Responsible for planning USBUG virtual meetings 
  • Required to plan one (1) virtual meeting a year for all USBUG members 

» Q: WILL MY CHAMPION SITLL PLAN IN-PERSON MEETINGS FOR MY GROUP?

» A: If a local city BUG had a champion(s) they: 

  • Don't need to plan an in-person meeting exclusively for their group 
  • May provide a hybrid meeting option for the meeting they plan - but it's not required 

» Q: DOES THAT MEAN WE CAN'T MEET IN PERSON?

» A: Absolutely not! We encourage you to still meet locally! 

» Q: WHO CAN PLAN IN-PERSON MEETINGS/MEETUPS JUST FOR THIS LOCAL BUG?

» A: Any local members of this BUG are more than welcome to plan an in-person meeting exclusively for their group or invite members to watch a USBUG meeting together!

Local Cleveland BUG leaders that will organize the group's first get-together:

» Paul M. Yoe started working in the AEC Industry in 1980 under the direction of Richard N. Yoe an architect & general contractor and began using Bluebeam back in 2004. Today, Paul is the lead cost estimator at Cleveland Clinic and proudly leads CleBUG Champion. Paul is a constant learner and loves helping others. Did we mention he's an active ski patrol medic, too? Paul enthusiastically shared, "I am so excited to work with my peers at CCF and the entire AEC community to launch CleBUB. Cleveland Rocks, let's roll!"

» Gail Whipkey has been in the construction industry for 24 years, working on industrial, building, school, and hospital projects in varying positions. She has worked on both the contractor and owner side of a construction project. Currently a Construction Estimator for the Cleveland Clinic, Buildings + Design group, Gail uses Bluebeam daily to complete quantity take-offs and markup drawings. Gail was excited to learn about the Bluebeam products and workflows firsthand and is looking forward to helping champion the new CLEBUG group. 

» Dontay Howard is a project manager in construction management at the Cleveland Clinic Buildings + Design. Dontay brings over eight years of construction industry experience, focusing on commercial construction. Dontay is excited to launch Cleveland BUG and introduce the benefits of using Bluebeam - especially as it relates to simplifying workflows and the variety of ways you can extrapolate information into and out of the system. Dontay enjoys spreading the knowledge and many uses of the Bluebeam system and the responses from industry partners on how it made their day-to-day operations smoother and improved workflows.

» Russell Hinds is a seasoned construction professional with 18 years of experience in the construction industry, specializing in Building Information Modeling (BIM), project estimation, management, and execution.  Russell has successfully integrated modern management practices into his work, ensuring seamless coordination between teams and stakeholders.  His commitment to staying at the forefront of industry advancements has allowed him to adapt to evolving technologies and methodologies.  Helping to launch the Cleveland BUG user group is the next exciting and logical step in his professional career.
