Rebecca has been a passionate Bluebeam user since it was a plug-in for AutoCAD. Rebecca has spent her 20 year career in the civil AEC industry teaching and supporting Civil 3D. However, when her company transitioned to Bluebeam in 2016, Rebecca was tapped to lead the charge. Since then, Rebecca has taught Bluebeam to hundreds of users, leads internal company user group meetings, conducts quarterly training sessions, and posts weekly tips. Despite all her experience, Rebecca is always amazed when she learns a new trick – which is on a regular basis! Rebecca is excited to share what she knows and learn from her fellow BUG members.
With more than 22 years of experience in the consulting engineering industry, McCarthy has held several roles within the same organization, Alvine Engineering. Brett currently supports the 155-person firm by providing the administration of technology software, implementation of new design technology processes, and internal training to all technical and operational staff. McCarthy aims to streamline workflows and utilize innovative solutions across multiple disciplines while maintaining company and client standards. Brett has been a member of OMA Bug since its inception and is excited to bring his experience as a new BUG Champion and learn from other industry professionals how to expand Bluebeam workflows. Luke has been in the architecture industry for nearly 30 years. He has worked on various projects, including schools, hospitals, military, commercial, industrial, and multi-family housing. Luke is excited to become the SpoBUG Champion because he knows how helpful it is to learn from other users in real-world situations. "I look forward to watching Spokane BUG become an amazing resource for the community." Luke Shiras loves helping people get the most out of Bluebeam and connecting people with the resources they need. He is a licensed Architect (CA, WA, ID) with over 10 years of Bluebeam experience and over 20 years of experience in architecture.
Carina has been an interior designer since 2012, with a niche focus on healthcare design. For five years, she lived in Chicago, Illinois, where she discovered the ChiBUG and found other amazingly techies who geeked out over Bluebeam. After moving back to Arizona, she knew joining the PhxBUG was a must-do to bring some of that “love for learning energy” to the southwest! Carina is looking forward to some mind-blowing tips & tricks – so look out!
Melissa is Hoener Associates’ Design Technology Manager with over 20 years of experience. Melissa knows that each user works through Revu in different ways, and through StLBUG, the group can embrace and share their work.
As a Life Safety Manager, Matt is an accomplished certified fire protection specialist and certified fire and electrical inspector with over 30 years of industry experience. After being chosen to present at XCON 2019, and experiencing the power of peer-sharing firsthand, Matt believes that bringing a local BUG to Omaha will be beneficial to both his local AEC peers and the industry at large.
Wesley is a Project Manager with Anser Advisory and a new ChiBUG champion. He has over ten years of experience in the architecture and construction industry. Wesley enjoys making a positive impact and helping others succeed – whether it is by identifying ways to improve workflows and processes or learning new tools.
Nate joins the Milwaukee BUG leadership team with nearly a decade of industry experience and is proud to bring his architecture perspective to the group. Nate believes in the power of connecting Revu users with each other and looks forward to helping drive the industry forward with his fellow MkeBUG peers!
Al came to the US from Ukraine with his parents in the 1990s. He grew up in the PDX metro area and became an electrical apprentice in 2009. Finishing his apprenticeship, he became a journeyman wireman in 2014. Throughout his career, Al has worked for various electrical contractors in the Pacific Northwest before coming over to work as a business developer for SJS VDC Inc., an electrical BIM/VDC company. Al believes that leadership is the most important skill anyone can have.
Ryan has dedicated over 35 years of service to his local community in the fire department. Now, Ryan proudly serves as the assistant chief and fire marshal for the Cottleville Fire Protection District and sits on the board of directors for the Fire Marshals Association of Missouri. But his commitment to the community does not stop there. With a passion for learning and connecting with peers, Ryan is a founding member of this group and is excited to welcome his fellow fire and code enforcement peers to MFCEBUG.
Erin is the founder and consultant of Erin Khan Consulting. With over a decade of industry experience, Erin applies her knowledge in data analytics, process innovation, and tech adoption to empower companies as they embark on their journey to improve the built world through technology. As an avid Bluebeam user and LAXBUG member since the group’s inception, Erin says, “Championing LAXBUG is important to me, because it is simultaneously inspiring and humbling: it fuels my passion to facilitate the future of AEC while empowering me alongside our members to learn from some of the most innovative minds the Los Angeles construction industry has to offer.”
As an industry professional with over 17 years of experience in electrical engineering and more than a decade in the design/consulting industry, RJ is a member of the Digital Technology team at AECOM Hunt. RJ's passion lies in evaluating technology and assisting teams in adopting various solutions to address the most challenging problems in our industry. Technology has consistently played a significant role in RJ's professional journey, connecting him with numerous talented individuals over the years. As the OCBUG champion, RJ's goal is to facilitate connections among industry professionals to form a collective that can propel further innovations for the AEC/O community.
George is a Bluebeam Certified Professional and CAD Manager with over 18 years of experience working for a Land Development firm (Daft McCune Walker, Inc.) in Baltimore, Maryland. George is proud to bring his user group leadership experience and passion for knowledge sharing to the Mid-Atlantic Region Bluebeam User Group. “I love growing my knowledge of technology and workflows and being able to share that knowledge and help others learn and grow.”
Sean is the business systems development manager for W.M. Jordan Company and leads the Mid-Atlantic BUG with two decades of industry experience. “I could not imagine the industry without Bluebeam as a solution and the efficiencies that it provides,” says Sean. “I’m excited to collaborate with peers in knowledge sharing to help carry these efficiencies throughout the Mid-Atlantic community.”
Charlie has been in the electrical construction industry for eight years, starting as a design engineer before shifting to project management. His having been on both sides of the drawing process can lend itself to a unique perspective in the interpretation of construction documentation. As the Mid-Atlantic BUG Champion, Charlie’s excited to increase his own Bluebeam knowledge by learning from his peers while positively impacting the industry – and fellow Bluebeam users – across the globe.
Peter is the BIM coordinator at The Austin Company. As a tech-enthusiast, Peter is excited and eager to see the construction industry become more efficient and productive and a BUG is an excellent tool to bring like-minded individuals together to lead that effort. “The power of community and shared experiences can propel the individuals involved onto another level of knowledge, enthusiasm and progress.”
As a project manager for Odeh Engineers, Paul values the opportunity to lead his industry peers as the New England BUG Champion. “Bluebeam Revu is an integral part of daily life in the AEC industry and I have found that sharing knowledge amongst other members of the community only serves as a benefit to us all.”
As a senior transportation engineer with Hoyle, Tanner & Associates, Jeff has been providing design services to clients for over 20 years. Jeff believes NHBUG provides the community with an unparalleled opportunity to connect with industry peers, share knowledge and discuss industry trends.
Nathan McQuillan is a partner at Jonathan Partners and serves as an Owners Representative and Development Consultant. With 20-plus years of experience in the AEC industry, Nathan is excited about the opportunity to lead and motivate the existing, current, and next generation of Bluebeam users. Nathan looks forward to networking, educational meetings that bring value, and lessons- learned discussions. He's also thrilled to reignite the vibrant Dallas BUG community and foster a local community where all AEC professionals can learn from and help each other succeed.
Gail has been in the construction industry for 24 years, working on industrial, building, school, and hospital projects in varying positions. She has worked on both the contractor and owner side of a construction project. Currently a Construction Estimator for the Cleveland Clinic, Buildings + Design group, Gail uses Bluebeam daily to complete quantity take-offs and markup drawings. Gail was excited to learn about the Bluebeam products and workflows firsthand and is looking forward to helping champion the new CLEBUG group.
