Multipage batch compare
I frequently compare documents. These suggestions stem from a desire for better methods to compare multi-page PDFs, such as wiring diagrams. The goal is to avoid extracting separate pages and instead maintain the original format of the multi-page PDFs while adding revision markups.
Suggestion 1 - Batch compare single multi-page PDFs by page label
Feature: Add the option "Compare pages by page label". With this feature, users can compare a batch of pages without using the batch compare function that separates all pages.
Use case: Comparing schematics such as wiring diagrams.
Suggestion 2 - Batch compare multiple multi-page PDFs by page label and filename
Feature: Building on Suggestion 1, add a function to the batch compare option that allows comparison of PDFs based on their filenames, with the addition of a number and/or letter.
Examples:
- "Filename A.PDF" is automatically sorted as a current file
- "Filename B.PDF" is automatically sorted as a revised file
- "Filename 13.PDF" and "Filename 97.PDF" can be compared sequentially
Use case: Batch comparing diagrams and schematics.
Note: Both features would benefit greatly from the Auto-align feature.
