Using Search Results to Apply Custom Tool Chest Item

Hi!

I am using visual search to look for specific devices on a document. When these devices are found, I would like to select multiple results and apply a custom tool chest symbol to these results. I understand this is currently possible via Apply Count Measurment but not through tool chest. How can I make this work?

Right-click the icon from the tool set you want to use. Select Create Count. A new icon for counts will appear.

At this point, you should be able to hover over Apply Count Measurement to Check. You'll see available count options here that you have. Your new icon(s) should now be an option to apply.

Thank you so much for this quick response. I have tried this method and it does solve part of the issue. However, the problem with this method is that the Markups list does not recognize the tool chest symbol with its apprioprate title causing issues when I export the markups.

If you're interested in having a different subject, you can right-click and select Split All to separate the count.

The Properties Panel can be used to change multiple subjects at once (ex: Count Measurement → Rectangle).

Let's see if anyone else has any other tips to add! 😀

@austinpeek After you right click and choose "create count" this will duplicate the item and generically call it "count measurement". Select that new item (don't insert it to the pdf yet) and open the Properties panel. You can edit the subject line to reflect the name of the item it's intended to count.

This should be the new name moving forward.

I believe this solution would work by manually renaming each generic "count measurement" to the correct name needed for the export. However, I have been unsuccessful in implementing your method to permanently rename the tool chest-based count measurement. Could you provide me with extra clarity on how to do this?

I understand your suggestion now, and it works well. The result does come condensed in the Markup list. This results in an error in my export. I understand there is an option to 'Split All' and this works; however, since it is not possible to use this function once multiple items are selected, it becomes tendeous. Do you have a proposed solution to this issue?
