strange way of signing in
When I sign in, Bluebeam automatically recognises my town and country (Netherlands), but why can I not find my State/province/territory in the list? I am not allowed to leave it empty, (then I can't sign in), so now I've selected Ireland as State/Province/Territory (is Ireland one of these 3?) in country Netherlands….. (to my Irish friends: don't be offended, I don't want to overtake your beautiful country, on the contrary, it was one of the best options in the list ;) )

Thank you for sharing this feedback. Can you add more context as to which application you were signing into where you observed this experience?

@Jan-Willem - are you referring to the profile option for Bluebeam Community? If so - it's definitely a strange experience and I'll connect with you separately and remove this as a suggestion to the product team.
Thanks!

hello David and Angela, I experienced this when I signed in for the first time on the Community, after clicking in Bluebeam on "help" and "make a suggestion" (in Dutch: "een suggestie maken"). When I filled in my city (Hedel, in the Netherlands), I got a list in State/Province/Territory with a limited number of options in Germany, USA and a few countries, but not in The Netherlands. Maybe it has something to do with the German version of Bluebeam my company has advised to use, but I think it's strange.
I hope this explanation is clear for you (I hope my English is OK), succes with working on it. By the way, personally I think my other suggestion (create the option "autosave") is much more important for me as a user.
have a nice day, greetings, Jan-Willem0 -
Hi @Jan-Willem - Thank you SO much for this clear explanation.
I would first like to start by sharing that you have no reason to be sorry. For starters, your English is perfect and I wish I could learn another language. I always give up too soon!
Additionally, you are not the only one with this issue, so I am going to move it from the Product Feedback category to the Community Chatter category. Your feedback is absolutely valid so I am going to move it so other individuals who experience the same issue can follow this thread.
Helpful tip for submitting feedback:
- Product Feedback= space to share Bluebeam-product specific feedback/ideas
- Community Chatter = space to share online Bluebeam Community feedback
With that said, I 100% agree with you, the login experience is not ideal and is a limitation in the platform we use for the community. For starters, I'm submitting this feedback to their team to enhance their registration to be a smart form and filter options based on location, etc. While I can't promise anything will happen, it is a great place to start.
Lastly, I am going to reach out to privately because I want to ask a couple of personal/location-based questions. Please keep an eye out for a message to come through in your mail icon (see highlighted area in picture below)
Lastly, regarding your auto-save suggestion, can you please share where you submitted this? Is this in reference to the Bluebeam Community, too? Or Bluebeam Revu?
FYI: @David Vallejo

hi Angela, thanks for your reaction (and compliments 😊 if you want to learn a few words Dutch you're always welcome). I'm not used to chat in communities, so if you're moving this topic from Product Feedback to Community Chatter: you're the expert so if you say that's better that's fine by me. I will react on your post in my personal inbox, I quickread it allready and it looks like you understand the problem very good.
Regarding the auto-save problem: maybe I posted it not in the community but as a helptopic (maybe what you name as Bluebeam Revu?) I don't know anymore, as I said I'm not used to work in this communities). Anyway, it had to do with my laptop, sometimes it updates automaticly without warning (thanx to MS, Windows, HP and my company?). When I start up again, allmost all programs autosaved my last work (also in Onedrive), but not Bluebeam…. 30 years ago, when I worked with the first versions of Excel and Word, they allready had the Autosave-function, and you could set up the time between 2 autosave-moments from e.g. 1 minute to 1 hour (or something like that). I think it's strange that Bluebeam doesn't have this function, now I have to save it everytime and when I forget to do that and my laptop switches of, I've lost all my beautiful work. On 12 July I got an (automatic) mail with a case number: 01741955, but there's no repetition of my question in that mail (also a suggestion for improvement, for people like me). But probably you can find my question with the case number.
One hour later I got a mail from Adam Psota (Technical Support Specialist Germany): "thank you for your request. There's no Auto Save feature in Revu at this time. Revu does have Document Recovery . If you'd like to see an Auto Save feature in Revu see our Product Suggestions page to give feedback to the Product Management Team."
(and in that mail I now see my question (in Dutch): "Ik wil graag documenten regelmatig automatisch laten opslaan, bijvoorbeeld elke 5 of 10 minuten, omdat ik ze anders kwijt ben als mijn laptop weer automatisch gaat updaten of door ICT opnieuw wordt opgestart.")
I didn't know (or had the patience) to investigate what Adam meant by posting it in Product Suggestions (probably hoped he would do that internally), but my problem is not solved offcourse, maybe you can help me (and others?) also with that.0
