File Saving Options Involving Configurations--PRODUCT SUGGESTION
When using layers, one is able to create named configurations so that some layers are turned off. This helps in removing clutter when viewing or printing the file. Currently, when you save, close, and then open a file, it returns to the base default condition, not the configuration that was open when it was saved. It would be nice to be able to save a file so that it will open at a particular configuration. Or you are able to define what the configuration will be when it opens (and it can then be changed to another configuration at any time moving forward). This way, a file can be created so that when it is sent to someone, it will open with the preferred configuration so that it isn't so confusing when the file opens with all the layers turned on. Otherwise, you must provide instructions to the end user telling them to select a particular configuration after opening the file. This makes collaboration easier. I checked with support and they knew of no way to do this and they suggested I make this a product suggestion. If someone has an easy workaround, that would be great.
