Web Based Add-in

New Outlook will eventually be the default Microsoft Mail app and it only supports web-based add-ins. Since many people are starting to use New Outlook in organizations, I hope your COM add-ins get converted to web based soon so it can continue to be used. Thank you.

This was the original response I received from their Support Team which is why I posted the request/suggestion to this page.

"I haven't heard anything internally, however this does not mean that its not being worked on. For now, unfortunately this would be a feature request. I have forwarded your feedback to the Product Team, however it may be pertinent to send this suggestion directly to them via our Suggestions page. They review these suggestions and use them to drive their future decisions."

Thanks Jen. I am a bit surprised that this is even a question and disappointed that no one has appeared to have acknowledged your post. Perhaps they messaged you personally I guess…

Thank you for the post. We are currently evaluating the level of effort to support the change within Microsoft's new add-in framework for Office 365. As of today, the Bluebeam PDF creation plugins that are supported in Microsoft's desktop clients perform conversions locally on a user's machine without the use of a cloud-based server. This local processing is an advantage to customers working in restrictive environments.

We are also evaluating the overall requirements for PDF creation of emails, specifically. Would you be willing to provide more context as to why and when you publish emails to PDF? Is this for archival purposes outside of Outlook? Are these PDFs of emails then uploaded into another system such as Studio Projects?

@Luke Prescott Why and when you publish emails to PDF - I have a new desktop and it does not have the option to load classic windows eliminating my usage as such: Previously I could create a pdf in the draft stage and email it to coworkers with personalized markups, sharing a current status of the file, without having to save multiple copies and needing to go back and delete them. The email is my copy.

Also, if it is a markup I have no intention of saving, but relays specific information to a client, it is quick and easy send without modifying my master copy.
