Re: Thumbnail Navigation
I am guessing that the thumbnails would have synced up if you activated page 83 by clicking on it after navigating to it. Could that have been the issue?
My thought is that you had a tool active in page 250ish so that is where thumbnails went.
Re: External Script Engine
The problem is a sneaky one, you need to escape the single quotes around comment and ten using the pipe character.
…\scriptengine.exe "Open('.\test.pdf') MarkupSet(1,'KGYCQZMGMQHHPNJO','{|'comment|':|'ten|'}') Save() Close()"
Let me know if this works!
Re: Stamps drop down
@JBrunelle, Seems like you are using stamps for all your markups. My suggestion is that you use the Tool Chest for your standard markups (like the pole lights, etc.). Stamps are better suited for items you want to include on every page, such as approval blocks or signature boxes. This will also eliminate the frustration with the dropdown navigation.
Hope this helps!
Re: Markup replacement
YES PLEASE! I’ve been requesting this feature for quite some time. The ability to substitute markups would significantly streamline my workflow and make things much easier.
Re: Thumbnail Navigation
@Steven Bunker, I just tested it, and it seems the thumbnail image usually stays aligned with the current page. However, if you navigate away from that thumbnail, I found a workaround to return to the correct one. Simply click the back and forward arrows to bring the thumbnail back in sync with the current page.
Hope this helps!
Re: 🗓️ May 2025 Challenge - Skills in Bloom!
This year I am focused on:
- Force multiplying the benefits of Bluebeam features like Studio Sessions and Sets through office wide adoption and
- Improving our coordination effectiveness and efficiency with more defined workflows and best Bluebeam practices rather than forcing hard copy habits into PDF reviews.
Studio Sessions has become our go-to coordination and review tool for progress sets and consultant sheets. Bluebeam webinars share some great ideas I am implementing. Having a session "playbook page" is my favorite. Adding that cheat sheet to the session gives all participants a starting point on how to best markup the set, including callouts formatted for each discipline that they may click to SET AS DEFAULT or ADD TO TOOL CHEST as they begin their review. That page is reviewed in a Session kickoff meeting and each team leader is asked to introduce the playbook page to any new team members that might join after the kickoff.
Workflows centered around the markups list have been a bit more difficult to implement. People are still inclined to use the yellow highlighter to mark through comments they have addressed (had copy habit). This practice, along with multiple markups for a single comment (like an arrow and a text box rather than adding a leader) clutter the markups list and make it less useful. I am encouraging people to set status of markups to complete and use markups list filters to screen back all markups that have been completed. It surprises me how difficult it is to try and change these habits. I think it is because I am trying to do it on the fly rather than holding a training session as part of a more structured effort.
We are using Sets for CA Record and Markups - there is another post on that I will link in a reply comment.
Thank you @Darbie @Brandon Costlow and @Shaya Birnbaum for sharing YOUR Mad Skills!
Re: Add a trim polyline command
Yes please! it would be very helpful to have the ability to select and delete multiple points on a polyline at once, rather than removing them individually.
Re: Who's joining me at UNBOUND September 30-October 2?!
